Tips for Getting Kids Ready for School

Want to give your child a “Head Start”? You can start by working at home with your child/children on a daily basis. Start by inspiring them to read, write and count at an early age. While inspiring them to enhance their knowledge, make it fun as well. Below, I have listed some helpful websites that can assist you in working with your children at home. Some of these sites offer interactive activities, free educational resources, educational newsletters, information for buying educational tools, and some even provide printable worksheets for your children.
Working with these websites, not only teach your children to read, write and count, but it also allows them to develop computer skills. I have you used these sites with my granddaughter and find them to be very helpful and has helped her to excel as one of the top students in her kindergarten class. I am hoping that you find these sites as helpful as I have. Until next time, enjoy these sites!!

GENIUS! Who ever thought of…

Adjustable waistbands in children’s clothes!
My son is pencil thin and is growing up so tall. Adjustable waistbands has allowed his pants to have the length he needs with no worry of them falling off or having to wear belts that are too troublesome for him.
Velcro to replace shoestrings in kids shoes!
Children’s shoes are always coming untied and they will run around with them untied and this could be dangerous. The Velcro is very quick, safe and convenient for kids and parents. I do recommend that you occasionally have a pair of shoes with shoestrings for the children so that they learn to tie their shoes.
